Bamboo single mats

Reed Basketry is an age-old hand weaving technique among the indigenous people in Kerala. These place mats are traditionally made in yoga mat sizes. They carry a distinguishing mirror like pattern, giving it the name Kannadi Paay.

Bamboo Handloom Mats are made by a women's group in central Kerala. The bamboo strips are set on a loom to weave blinds, curtains, table runners and mats.
